Risk disclosure

Capital markets instruments carry the risk of loss, including the loss of your entire investment. Reading statistical output does not reduce that risk.

1. General market risk

The value of capital markets instruments can fall as well as rise. You may lose part or all of the amount you invest. No information published on this platform reduces, transfers or insures that risk.

2. Volatility, liquidity and market mechanics

  • Prices can move sharply and without warning in response to news, macroeconomic developments or sentiment.
  • On Borsa İstanbul, price limits, circuit breakers, volatility-based measures and trading halts may prevent you from transacting at the price you expect, or at all.
  • Thinly traded instruments may not be sellable in the size or at the time you want.
  • Corporate actions — capital increases, dividends, splits, mergers, delistings — change price series and can distort historical comparisons if adjustments are imperfect.

3. Model and statistical risk

Every method used on this platform is a simplification of the market. Any of the following can make an output misleading.

  • Overfitting: a method that fits its historical sample well may not generalise.
  • Regime change: relationships estimated in one market environment can break down in another.
  • Small-sample effects: base rates computed over few observations carry wide uncertainty even when a single number is displayed.
  • Look-ahead and survivorship bias: despite controls, historical datasets can embed information that was not available at the time.
  • Parameter sensitivity: a different lookback window or threshold can produce a materially different figure.
  • Simulation gap: backtested and simulated results are hypothetical and do not reflect real execution, costs, slippage, taxes or market impact.

4. Data risk

  • Market and fundamental data are sourced from third parties and may contain errors, gaps or late corrections.
  • Data shown may be delayed and must not be treated as real-time or as a tradable quote.
  • Pipelines can fail. When they do, coverage gaps are surfaced rather than filled with estimates — but a gap you have not noticed can still mislead you.
  • Historical series may be revised, which changes previously displayed figures.

5. Currency and inflation risk

Where instruments, benchmarks or reported figures are denominated in different currencies, exchange rate movements affect returns independently of the instrument's own performance. Nominal returns shown are not automatically adjusted for inflation and may overstate real purchasing-power outcomes.

6. Leveraged and derivative instruments

This platform does not provide analysis intended for leveraged products, derivatives, futures, options or foreign exchange margin trading. Such instruments carry a risk of loss exceeding the amount invested and are subject to a separate regulatory risk-disclosure regime. Do not extrapolate output from this platform onto leveraged positions.

7. Preview-period risk

The platform is in a first kick-off preview. In addition to the risks above, during this period you should assume that a displayed figure may be wrong, that computations may be corrected retroactively, that coverage is incomplete, and that features may be withdrawn. Do not use the platform as an input to a live decision while this notice is in force.

8. No guarantee

Nothing on this platform is a guarantee, promise, commitment or assurance of any investment outcome. No probability, band or scenario shown here should be read as a statement about what will happen to a specific instrument in the future.
